2008 Georgia State Series Rules

Important Dates: Qualifications:

March 08th River City Qualifier 3 State Qualifiers and 8 local races

April 12th Augusta Qualifier Cut off date for locals is August 23rd.

May 10th McDonough Qualifier Race Costs:

June 28^th Albany Qualifier Locals without award $7.00

July 12th Speedway BMX Qualifier Locals with award $10.00

August 09^th Peachtree City Qualifier State qualifier pre registration $20.00 (add $5.00 for post reg.)

August 23^rd Rain date #1

September 06^th Rain date #2

September 13^th Peachtree City State Championship State Championship pre registration $30.00 (add $5.00 for post reg.)

Race Times:

All qualifiers P/R 11:00 – 1:00

Race 2pm

Championship P/R 11:00 – 1:00

Points: Max Points prior to Championship

Single points will be used for the purpose of point keeping Expert 540

for all State Qualifiers and State Championship. Novice 450

Girl 450

Cruiser 450

Rookie 360

8 local races must be completed. Credit only, no points.

Georgia State series will run the 3 moto system. A main will be run for class should there be more than 6 riders for that class.

Moto points and main points will be issued on the following scale for all State Qualifiers and the State Championship:

Racers may race in all 6 State Qualifiers, but only the 3 best will be used.

Racers require 8 local races from January 1^st 2008 through August 23^rd

to complete the necessary qualifications for the State Championship.

Racers will be scored separately depending on their age and proficiency no matter if they are combined with

a more advanced proficiency or if a girl races in the novice class. To put it simply, rookies will only earn rookie

points and novices will only earn novice points and girls will only earn girl points. At locals, girls can choose to

race the girls class or the novice class. At the state qualifiers, girls will only race in the girls classes.
