Minutes of the meeting State Qualifier # 3 McDonough track. May 10^th 2008

Meeting called to order at 1.30pm.

1. Roll Call and welcome to Ga State series by Shayne Robinson, State Commissioner.

2. Awards presentation to 29 riders who participated in the 2007 Presidents Cup Race in Columbus, Ohio. Special award and recognition to Karen Allen for her team management of the Ga State Team

3. Financials presented by Reed Bradford. Each track received a rebate check for 2007. Ga State was also able to pay for all the timing chips to upgrade the tara systems for each track. As of May 10^th , our expenses were high due to 2 rained out State Qualifiers, and no income. We have waived the 50cent fund for the tracks this year and asked that the money be put towards their track needs. We have $3900 in the bank. We are non-profit, our goal is to put the money back into the series, and go into each new year with about $1500 start up and to cover any unexpected expenses. State also has to upgrade equipment as necessary. Please check the www.georgibmx.org website as our finances are published monthly. Reed is available to review the books with any member. Thank you.

4. Savannah, Bainbridge, and Riverdale are investigating new track start ups.

5. Hot Shoppe will be designing the State Jersey this year. The State Jersey will only be shipped out the tracks following the State Championship due to lead times and our efforts to save money by not ordering more jerseys than we need. Number plates will be available day of the State Championship.
