Georgia State Bmx Parents Meeting #2 @ Augusta

 

 

Officers in Attendance:

 

Shayne Robinson – Georgia State Commissioner

Candy Gore-Maret  -  Georgia State Treasurer

Carolyn Grant – Georgia State Points Clerk/Secretary

 

Meeting called to order at 2:45 pm by Shayne

 

Roll Call

 

Old Business:  last months minutes and financial report both online and posted on the moto board.

 

No committee reports

 

Shayne gave thanks to the Augusta BMX volunteers for having a great race

 

Financial report; Candy

see attached and it is posted online and on the moto board

Began month of April with $44519.28

Ended the month of April with $5445.68

**state bought a table and chair and a pop-up tent for use at the State events

 

New Business:

Georgia games will be held on July 14 at Speedway BMX in the evening, hours will be announced later.

This event is not an NBL event so anyone can participate, bring all of your friends!! 

this will be an open house and opening day for Speedway BMX.  If you race in the Georgia games there will be medals handed out like at the Olympics.  Only requirements are a to have a helmet, long pants and long sleeve shirt.

Georgia State will pay the $65.00 open house fee for Speedway BMX to get them started.  So everyone, Bring all of your buddies and have a great time and support Speedway BMX and be a part of the Olympic Spirit.

June 5,2007  there will be a meeting with the Georgia State Olympic Committee

 

River BMX in Columbus Georgia:  Todd Langdon will be fixing the drainage and they will hopefully be open in July.  Aaron Olney, Rivers BMX Track Director will be at the PTC State Qualifier and we be introduced to all those who would like to meet him.

 

We also have the possibility of having another private track opening in Savannah this winter.  That would make 7 tracks in the State of Georgia!!!  WE ARE GROWING!!

 

We have learned Red Bud BMX (ABA) has been bulldozed and is no longer there.
