2007 Georgia state schedule has been approved by all of the track Directors.

2007 State Qualifiers will be :

April 21, 2007 @ Albany

May 19, 2007 @ Augusta

June 23, 2007 @ PTC

July 21 @ McDonough

August 18, 2007 @ Speedway

Rain dates are August 4, and Sept 8

State Championship will be on September 22, 2007 @ McDonough

All local races will be completed by August 26, 2007.  This will allow for all the final points to be entered.  This was agreed on by all the Track Directors

September 16, 2007 will be the cut off for points protests.  Again this year all points protests will need to be in writing. They can be given to any State official or your local track director.  We will have an resolution to your inquiry within 10 days.

Race results will be published on the Georgia State web site as requested by the track Directors ( State Series only).

Points will be published on the web site by the 10th of every month.  Pts will no longer be a spread sheet, they will be a running total like the NBL points standings.  It is important for the track directors to encourage all parents and riders to keep up with the races they have raced in case there is a question later on.  The points will automatically post your 8 best locals and 3 best qualifiers.

The points will be posted by the 10th of every month, you will only have one month for protesting of points of previous month.  For example: all points from races received from the month of March will be posted by April 10.  You will have till May 10 to protest any points from the month of March.  Races that have been received late from the previous month will not show for that months  total.

We are looking at a little reminder for the riders so that they will know when they have their 8 locals and 3 Qualifiers. Some sort of magnet with all the important phone #’s, website, hotline and dates of the Qualifiers.  Hopefully this will make it easier to have all your info at one place and as you race your locals you can just put a check mark and know when you have your 8/3.

SPEEDWAY BMX!!!!!

Track Director Rob Potter says he will be racing on Sundays. Practice and Registration from 1-2  and racing at 3.

Summertime racing will change to Friday nights 6:30-7:30 racing at 8 pm

Augusta will race Saturday nights

Albany will race Saturdays

PTC will race Saturday afternoons

McDonough will race Saturday evenings

We will continue to use the blue card system at all of the State Qualifiers, we will have the Clerk of Course from each track to help with paperwork at the Qualifiers.

State meetings will be held 10 mins before race time at all the Qualifiers.  State business only will be addressed.  No local issues. If you have concerns or would like to address something at the meeting contact a State Official to have it put on the agenda.  The agenda is put up in the web site a week before the meeting and will be available at the race.

Candy is doing the budget for the 2007 year.

We broke even on the tee shirt sales last year so we will try something else this year.  There will be a GA State Series tee shirt will all the tracks and race dates on it and a special State Championship shirt available at Championship.
