Minutes Ga State Track Directors Meeting November 01, 2010

 

  1. Roll Call. In attendance: Shayne Robinson, Anthony Robinson, Jim Joyce, Eddie Wallace, Freedom Wallace, Aaron Runyon, Mitch Moon, Tommy Knight, Lisa Knight, Laurie Corley, Carol McCard, Thomas Gonzalez.

 

  1. Treasurers report. Balance stands at $13000. Outstanding amount of  $1200 to paid on race jersey. Please see www.georgiabmx.org

 

  1. Scheduled dates:  March 26th  Albany

 

      May 21st Peachtree City

 

      June 18th   Augusta BMX

 

      July 16th  McDonough

 

      September 10th   TBD

 

State Champs. October 01 McDonough.

 

All dates approved.  September date to be decided between Albany and Macon track closer to the time..

 

  1. 3/5 remains qualifications plus SC> 8 locals to be raced by August 31st, 2010. Approved

 

  1. Points to be in line with National NBL points.  2moto transfer with a main. Point in class in moto, point as you cross the finish line in the main.  Approved

 

  1. Teams Series 4/5 qualification. $25 entry fee remains. State to put in  $1000 for final results.  State to add $200 to each SQ . Tracks to add $200 to final Champiosnhip pot.   All tracks to participate in the track team series. Floating trophy idea approved. Will keep trophy team series .

 

  1. Fee schedule. Recommend $20 flat fee for SQ and $30 flat fee for SC. Riderz Ready can do jersey for $32 each next year.  Approved.

 

  1. Offer flat screen  TV in lucky draw for those riders that compete in all 5 SQ plus the SC. Perfect rider promotional item will still be offered.  Approved

 

  1. Clerking:  Laurie to call each clerk with her requirements.  Laurie to set up teleconference with all clerks to discuss requirements for state racing.

 

  1. NEW NBL>  All tracks must run main events. You have the option to run 2 moto transfer with a main or 3 motos with a main.  These races count for the Challenger series. Failure to run mains puts your riders last on the points.

 

  1. Paperwork: Must be in to the office within 48 hours. NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

  1. Local race programs : Discussions. A) promotions B) fee schedules. Tracks may not charge extra for double/triple/quadruple point races. Only exception is charity or fundraising drive.  C) practice paid or not ?  This is left to the discretion of the tracks. D) training of new officials to be done in December by Anthony and Shayne  E) Competition Congress Feb 18-20th in Columbus Ohio. Minimum track director and clerk should go.

 

  1.  Discussion of local calendars and racing times. Please bring at least an outline of your proposed schedule for 2011.  Need to be consistent with start times. Please park your websites if you are not using them efficiently. Anthony introduced the idea of using text message service  that is free.
