7. State Championship to be in August or September?
Pros:
Triple Regional points. Leave Sept-Nov open for the tracks to hold local series
and fun events for the riders.
Cons:
Weather, really hot. Move-ups and tooooo close to the
Grands.
- Start
times to be 11am-1pm prac and reg. race at 2pm
for the entire series.
- $20/25
pre and post reg. to stay. $30/35 champ. To stay. Offer $10 overall discount to families
of 3 or more riders?
- Qualifying
will be 3/6 State Qualifiers and still 8 local races. What if we only gave credit for 8 local
races, no points, and points earned will be for the State Qualifiers only?
Open for discussion.
- Clerking
issues. Timing of r ace
reports. If we maintain points for
local racing we need to have reports in asap for the posting on the website. Our goal is always out by the 5-10th
of every month. Please could
clerks at each track print off reports and post at their tracks. This
would help riders who do not have access to internet.
- $5
budget for trophy of the day per qualifier or a large Georgia State Design and medals
to fill the slots for the 6 qualifiers. Make each medal a collectors piece?
